How competitive is it for cadets to get Advanced Training spots? (Air Assault, Airborne, ect)

Easy to get some kind of training, but more competitive for certain types. Most cadets get Air Assault - conducted at West Point and plenty of slots.

Up until a couple years ago about 20% of the class got Airborne, but my understanding is that they have decreased the number of slots since. Sapper, SERE, etc fewer slots- more competitive.

I could be really wrong or really right, but it all depends on your physical activity (Army CFT and PFT) along with your grades. Air Assault is the least competitive while programs like Ranger School are highly selective. I believe this also goes to your branch (basically whether you go to infantry, logistics, etc). Sorry if I'm wrong, I'm dumb as hell :(

RANGER school is no longer a MIAD option at WP.
