Can my MCJROTC Naval Honor school nominate me to the Air Force Academy?

Hello. My Marine Corps Major told me today that he may be able to nominate me to the USAFA. I already applied for the Congressional Nominations (I haven't heard back and I wont for awhile), but my ALO said that he cannot nominate me since we are a Marine Corps ROTC. However, when researching it, it appears we can because we were a Honor school. Is this possible? Thank you.

I believe you can. My school is an Army JROTC Honor Unit with Distinction and my LTC nominated me. I found out yesterday on portal that I received the nomination from the Air Force Academy as well as West Point.
