hello! I usually lurk around in the USMA section since that is where ds most desires to go in several years (he's a freshman), but we will be vacationing in Maryland in a few weeks and we'd like to tour the Naval Academy. Can you give any advice to us? just a simple tour is great, not necessarily anything they'd give to prospective students.

my MIL has a friend who teaches physics there and I thought we were going to be able to get him to tour us, but he will be out of town then. so, I guess I'm back to square one.

we'll be in Maryland from May 31 to June 6, BTW.

Thanks in advance.

There is a tour available at the Visitor Center. It is very nice, not for prospective students, but for "tourists." It costs a bit, maybe $8, or so. Well worth it, however.

Thanks Jennyp - that is confirming what I thought. glad to hear it is "worth it" though.

We took a water tour some years ago that was very nice. It left from the end of the city dock. We got great views of the NA, plus it was nice to get out in the breeze on an otherwise hot, calm day.
