Objee- I know I read somewhere that you said CGAS notifications won't come until March or April, why is this?

That isn't true. It's based on rolling decision. I got mine January 20th, 2012.

The CGAS Program Coordinator had been planning to hold appointment decisions, we would still notify you if you were not being appointed to CGAS, until March or April to ensure as many applicants as possible would be considered for all available spots; however, I think they're just going to release less of them earlier (probably starting in January) compared to past years. We only have 40 spots at prep school this year, compared to 60+ the last few years, so the program is still working on the best way to ensure the most qualified applicants are selected for those 40 spots. Obviously the more CGAS appointments tendered during Early Action (EA), the less appointments there are to tender later compared to just reviewing all EA and Regular Admissions applicants for all 40 spots at the same time.

Objee, I was waitlisted and for a backup plan I am thinking of becoming a self-prepper. I'm looking into MMI and Northwestern Prepatory School in Crestline, CA. Whats your opinion about being a self-prepper and also what have you heard about Northwestern Prep?
