I think this is the coolest job possible and it has been a dream of mine ever since I was a child. This related to why I want to go to the United States Naval Academy because they have produced the most astronauts in history and they have the #4 best Aerospace Engineering programs in the world. I have also intended on becoming a Naval Officer since I was a child inspired by my dad who went to the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Important Qualities-
- As a sibling and caretaker of my brother who is also an adult (23) with an IDD (low-functioning autism), I have developed a greater sense of patience, compassion and leadership. This personal experience is very unique and has helped me become a stronger leader from a young age. I have always been involved in the Autism community going to dances etc. and I have learned to be confident in defending my brother in public. Finally, I can do my homework even when somebody is screaming at the top of their lungs or opening and closing my door constantly if that is considered a skill.
- I am an extremely hard working student taking all opportunities for extra credit and putting extra effort into all projects. Time management is a strong suit of mine as I have the ability to finish all schoolwork on time and usually early, planning ahead while balancing my many extra curriculars.
- I am becoming a better public speaker exposing myself to various leadership roles in sports and clubs and even a singing competition. Being on a soccer team, especially as a center back, I am very used to taking charge and telling people what they need to do better, being a supportive person, and being a leader on the field.
Intended Courses For Next Year:
- College Public Speaking
- College Method of Engineerings
- AP Calc AB
- AP Governments and Politics
- AP Art
- AP Physics C
- AP Literature
