Why not just go to OCS? First, I wish to continue my formal education. The Americal Legal Studies program at USMA is my major of choice; although not specifically defined, my career goal is in the realm of international law on behalf of the US. I want the West Point experience and am more than willing to spend four years there. I do not mind that I would be older than most of my classmates.
I have begun drafting a nomination request letter, but I am looking for support/advice/input from anyone with worthwhile information. Am I delusional? Do I have a shot at admission? Please do not think this is a panic decision - I have considered this for a few years, but life circumstances (family issues, in particular) have required me to be near home. Now that time's running out, I do not want to squander this opportunity.
Thanks in advance for any help!
