Hello,
I am a home schooled student who is completing the equivalent of the 12th grade in a few months and i'd like to know if i have even the remotest of chance of being accepted into the USAFA.
I have not been involved in any official sports, and most of my classes were done in an un-accredited manner, i'd have around a 3.7 (or higher) GPA if i was in a public school.
Do to various issues i have not taken the SAT yet, and will be taking it this June, after doing that i will be entering my local tech school to get EMT-I certification to help provide a job for myself through college, i am hoping to my AAS, and become involved in Student Government.
I have just recently received my Eagle Scout award, and have 750+ community service hours from working at my Church, local Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, and various scout-related service projects, i will also be training to be an adult scout leader.
During the next few months i will also be getting my GED (As required for the tech school that i will be getting my EMT-I cert from),
Am looking at going abroad for a brief volunteering trip, and will be getting my A+ certification (heh).
I have also been on several relief and "mission" trips.
I guess my real question is, will the USAFA consider someone 2 year out of HS, if they make those two years count.
Please be honest,
I thank you for taking the time to read this and reply.
