I know this is a very specific question that nobody may be able to answer, but I’m wondering if having an Azygos Continuation of the IVC is a disqualification for a pilot slot/AFROTC. It’s asymptomatic with a normal EKG, and I can’t seem to find too much info on it. I’ve looked at the medical standards for enlistment, the medical standards directory, and the AF Special Warfare Waiver Guide, and I haven’t been able to find anything that says I would be disqualified. Everything I’ve seen talks about heart diseases/conditions/defects, but as far as I know, Azygos Continuation of the IVC is only labeled as an anomaly or disorder. It does not cause health issues, nor does it interfere with my daily life. I was told that I have no physician restrictions, and I have competitively swum and played soccer for almost 10 years now. I appreciate any help or response.
