Out of curiosity, what is CIET like on a daily basis? I have heard everything in-between, but no one has given me a straight, consistent answer. MS-3's at my school say it is mil-lab(gentle-man's course) for thirty days, while other cadets/commissioned officers say it is one of the hardest thing they have ever done.

I hear from some it it a 0900-1700 type of schedule(Not counting P.T), from others 0500-2200 (Not that is a problem, Norwich made you get up the early as a Rook). I hear from It would be nice to understand what I am living like for a month.

My Dad went but that was lifetimes ago; I imagine given the nature of the Army it has changed. Knowing what will happen makes it easier to prepare for demands I am faced with as a cadet.

Last year we typically followed the 0500-2200 schedule. The first week it was a lot of in-processing and basic classroom stuff. Basically whenever we had down time we would have mini-classes or clean the barracks. Each week had some type of highlight; high ropes course, BRM, CBERN, ect. For chow we had breakfast and dinner at the DFAC lunch was MREs. We only had 7 pt sessions but I think that might change this year.

From what I understand, it's 0500-2200 officially. You'll wake up around 05 every day although there isn't PT every day. Apparently they'll keep us busy until about 2000 and then we have hygiene/time to clean barracks. In general I hear the month of CIET is a breeze compared to VMI Ratline, but that's not much consolation haha. We'll see.

Interesting you say that, the same was said compared to Rookdom. I imagine for SMC's, it will be a piece of cake.
