Class colors or motto?

"Fire and ice" has been used on occasion:thumb:

The unofficial motto is 'forged in fire'. This was made into several unofficial patches and also on the challenge coin given to the cadets at recognition. After there was a blizzard for recognition, the 'fire and ice' was posited.

Screaming only works for so long. I found the "coming up from your blind spot and softly whispering into your ear about the displeasure I felt in an action you took" to be especially effective.

Bingo. MUCH more intimidating, especially from a 5'4" cadre to a 6'2" basic :yllol:

Oh so true.

The first time I got yelled at like that I had to hold my breath to keep from laughing.

The first time someone did what you just explained....scared the crap out of me.

I was a training officer as a cadet...and a groupie...

NEVER yelled...but reduced too many "tough dinks" to tears with the soft, silent, deadly method...

Works as an officer VERY well!

Just curious, but I thought it was Forged by Fire... maybe that's something else

"On target on time" is the official motto coined by the commandant last year.

there have been other unofficial mottos such as: "the class that came with smoke and fire", "Forged by fire", "Fire and ice" because of the wildfires surrounding Colorado Springs during in-processing last year.

"Forged in fire" and the like are unofficial mottos (and were mainly said OF 2016 by parents and the commandant, not chosen BY 2016 themselves).

"On target, on time" is the official motto chosen by the 2012 BCT commander last summer, and the one that will go in latin on their class ring.
