MOC Called Today (3/21)

DS received the call from our MOC (PA 16th District) this afternoon - whoo hoo!

For reference (I too have been a stalker and have been lurking and sharing the anticipation with all off you) - academyadmissions.com still lists DS's status as Candidate/Complete, MOC said the BFE is being mailed this week, and DS was the principal nominee from our MOC...

Congrats to everyone that got calls! Don't leave us since you don't have that BFE yet :thumb:

This is exciting, appointments are rolling out again! My focus on the last week of my 3rd quarter has definitely dropped about 90%... great :yllol:
 
Wow, lots of calls today! Congrats to all those that have received appointments recently! Oh the waiting.......

Not sure how to tell him, or when, i.e. wait until the BFE arrives and let him find it on his desk or tell him now. I still plan on being a member of the MB Stalkers club, but right now we are simply humbled and happy for our son.

Remember folks THIS is the week we thought things would start getting interesting - here is proof positive. Hope we can all share a moment like this before too long!

If it was me, I'd like to know right away. One of the biggest things bugging me this year is not being able to say where I'm going to college next year when everyone else knows already. Just my thoughts, you know your son better than I do so do what you think he'd like. The end result is still full of smiles and excitment :biggrin:

Hi RyWalk,

As it ended up, the congressman from our district called the high school. The Principal called my son down to the office, I could just imagine him doing the perp-walk down to the office from class wondering what he did wrong. He was nearly speechless. So it all worked out for the best. Keep your chin up, the process is just spooling up.

Nope, just a cheesecake fundraiser for Track! Uggghhhh!!!!

He doesn't even realize the torture, first the text at lunch time and now the visit after school.:eek:
 
I just got the call from Congresswoman Laura Richardson. Appointment is in the mail! :biggrin: Good luck to all those still waiting. There's a lot more where this one came from this week!
 
Even though I already accepted my appointment, I love reading this thread. It makes me smile hearing how exciting everyone is about their appointments! Congratulations to everyone! =D I am, however, still waiting on some more paperwork to come in the mail. I was told that there would be more to fill out in April or May. So, I guess I can stalk my mailbox then. =P
 
While I realize that the posters on this thread are less than 10% of the actual candidates, I must ask the question: "Did Virginia secede from the union?" :) Where are you VA folks?! And BTW.....HOORAY for all who rec'd calls today! How do you spell relief? MOC CALL!

We're from Texas. Maybe the Texas BFE's are coming via Texas Ranger on a horse. I'm going to go buy some hay right now and lay down a path to the mailbox. Carrots and apples too.

where are the candidates from TN...it seems like my son is the only one here?! surely goodness someone from here will be accepted...preferably DS :biggrin:

Well, we could all report in each day with the most useless piece of mail we received for the day. Mine for today was an ad for Juvaderm to get rid of my wrinkles.
 
Got the call!

Been watching this thread for the past two weeks! Son just received a call from Congressman Matheson's (UT 02) office with the good news of Appointment to USAFA!
 
I guess I should be happy to see that others are getting calls and knowing it's finally starting. But it makes the waiting that much more stressful when your kids hasn't received a call yet.

I know exactly how you feel. I'm in the same boat. At least the process is starting, so either way, the wait will be over soon.
