One of my friends heard with an LOA a while ago, but my other friend is still waiting to hear anything as well...
 
Urrrrrr. The wait is killing me. It doesn't help that this week (before break) is absolutely insane. Studying for AP chem and calc tests while waiting to hear from just about every school is just terrible. I guess it's a real test of patience...

Yep, we were there. We are from District 16. I have only seen 2 listed in IL. They were from 15th and 17th districts. I do know that our MOC (Manzullo) has 2 openings this year.

I know the feeling...it is driving me crazy and school seems like such a waste of time these days...

Where are you at in IL?

What WAS in the mailbox: Final payment due for Cap and Gown and Graduation Announcements, an invitation to DS's Senior Banquet and an invitation to a "FOOD WILL BE SERVED!" dinner in which we shall be taught how to fill out FAFSA ( and oh by the way, buy our whole life policy with "cash value" as well!). Ummm, no thanks.

How can people be so cruel as to send things to me about my son being a SENIOR and a soon to be graduate? How can they expect me to CARE about this nonsense of him actually living in the moment and being a high school senior! We are waiting on the BFE! WE CAN'T READ THIS OTHER STUFF! (insert wink here).

You give us good comic relief! What a great rant! My moment of crazy today was when our electricity went out while I was on this thread. So, on top of not being able to obsessively read everything there is to read about the AFA, I was temporarily deprived of my creature comforts (use of the microwave, coffee maker, etc.) Now that electric is restored - I'm back to just being obsessed. I guess I should be happy about that.
 
I'm originally from Illinois District 13. That is where my parents still live today. Although, I am a few blocks away from District 1. My town is cut in half. =P

EDIT:
What I just realized, to get to my grandmother's house from my parents house, you have to start off in D13, drive through D1, into D3, and back into D1. Gotta love gerrymandering and these weird borders. =P

I had to google Gloria Allred and then I burst laughing...u r wayyyy too funny vamom!!!

I would love one day have all of us meeting (hopefully) at the AFA just to put a name with a face and laugh about our comments...:biggrin:

DS Andrew is in class today. Attendance lady comes to class and calls for "Andrew". He thinks this is it! Too bad there are two Andrew's in class and this was the other one to leave early. Still waiting with you!

Funny story like that one...my mother text me during class a few days ago and with crappy cell reception I got her texts out of order...the first one I got was, "Will buy you all dinner!" So naturally I think the BFE came...turned out she was trying to ask me if I could watch my younger siblings, while she and my father went to a work function...
 
We are waiting also for Naval Academy. I don't even know what BFE means. can someone give me the lowdown on these acronyms?
