Class of 2015 - Mailbox Stalkers Club

WALSH! I had to run that damn April Fools 5k this morning in the cold. It wasn't too bad though. Hate running in pants.

I'll be 21 in December! Man i'm still super anxious. They tell me it won't be till mid April til mid May before i'll find out.
 
SIDEBAR: photo of balloons over the mailbox

Somewhat off topic, but related to this thread ... I think ...

I thought a few days back I saw a photo that someone uploaded showing balloons tied above their mailbox, a sign for the mailman indicating where to place the BFE, etc. I've been going through the thread a page at a time, and I just can't find it. I really wanted to show it to my wife.

Anyone know who posted that so I can look by author, or better yet do you know what page it is on?

Sorry for the brief distraction.

Someone said they fixed it. So grateful! We have not seen the mailman, but know he got a great laugh. The BFE finally came yesterday, but we had to take the sign down the night before because of torrential rain!

johnd9090: My PTL did the 5k, and then joined me for kettle bell class. =P Anyway, my countdown till 21 is 34 days!

DS ,attending out of state prep school, called to ask if mail had come today. Told him it was a little early for the mail. Mailman drove up just as we were talking. In the mail was the TWE. DS was aware of the reduction in slots so was prepared to hear news either way. Now he's off to Ft Hood for some sort of weekend activity with some of the prep kids. He was guided by prep school to appply to 3 SAs. Has 1 appointment to USMA, and waiting for his 1st choice USNA (2nd time applying). We will put our trust in the Lord and wait to see where He leads. "The mind of a man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps." Proverbs 16:9 Best wishes for the rest who are still waiting!

Your post really touched me. You have been a bright star on this forum and I don't want you to be sad. I wish you peace, strength and for you to find the path that is going to take you straight to your goals and dreams! I know you can, and I know you WILL, do it.
 
SMNE; Sheesh... this is stressful...

When I got home I felt relieved to not see a TWE...
Should I be happy I haven't gotten a TWE by now? lol
 
TWE arrived today for DS.

Congratulations to all who received appointments. And to those who received a TWE, congratulations for getting this far!

Our DS received the TWE today. Qualified but no vacancy so he is now on the dreaded wait list. He is fine, I am a basket case!
