Class of 2015 - Mailbox Stalkers Club

I have to admit - I'm a stalker on this thread!
Y'all are a great bunch of folks with your humor and encouragement throughout the long waiting period.
Just curious to know if there has been any news for those that were still waiting since the last update.
I've been pulling for y'all - even though you're zoomies!

Thanks for the kind words Buff81. Things have quieted down a bit, there are some boards coming up for the active duty folks that should complete in May sometime. After that, I imagine that we should be getting drips and drabs of appointments. Still hoping that there will be some movement for folks with QNV notices.

Are you also talking about the Falcon Foundation letters for the QNV canidates? I was just wondering if/when my DS might hear something.:rolleyes:

Hi momof5 : (Really? 5 kids? :groupwave:) Yes, we would love to hear about Falcon Scholars as well. So far it has been very quiet with regard to those - so I imagine that there should be activity with scholarships as well.
 
We might see some prep school appointments as well! (Hopefully) I've barely seen anyone announce any prep school appointments.

Yes, I know! 5, it is very loud at our house!:yllol:

Our oldest is a girl 20, DS 18, son10,twin sons 7, we have been married 22yrs. I guess you could say we "took a break" between kids. AF Active duty and then Air National Guard:thumb:

Good Luck to all waiting for Prep school appts. too!
 
Second BFE has arrived

Contains :

1. AOG (Association of Graduates) membership forms.
2. Insurance Forms and Personal Info (Do not sign these, bring to I-Day!)
3. Appointee Book with PO Box number.
4. Immunzation Form (In Appointee book).
5. Security Check Form SF86 - this one took a while to finish.
6. Cadet Sponsor family requests forms.
7. Checklist (Prior to I-Day: swim test, diagnostic math test)

Shortly there after we got instructions via email to complete an online personal info form (and language placement tests for spanish and german).

Dear Buff81,

I'm still here. A little poof went out of my sails but our family got very busy on Plan B college for a little while. I also knew remaining Prep/Falcon slots will be decided on last week of April, so we might see the "Uncle Buck" (loved that movie) Mailbox Stalker thread cough and sputter back to life for a while.

However, for those that got the QNV, that are a resilent lot. The kind of families that probably settled the WEST in the olden days. Lots of stamina. Lots of grit. We're not going anywhere but FORWARD in the very best paths we can.

Thanks for stalking. The more the merrier! :)

My DS's paperwork states to mail-in insurance and personal info form: to be signed on I day. Yours says to Hand Carry? He probably will bring copies of everything sent just in case.

Bad sentance structure. Send originals in, keep a copy for yourself, and sign on I-day.
 
For anyone still stalking, my Counselor told me today that my admissions decision (whichever way it may go) was mailed on the 18th. If others were mailed at the same time, they could start arriving soon. Looks like I'll be waiting for the mailman tomorrow.

Thank you! With the confusing change in my online status, I'm dying to just have my answer one way or another at this point. Its a very gut wrentching time here in my house.
 
Thank you all for the support these past few weeks, it has ben one heck of a ride. I am pleased to say that around 3:00 this afternoon, my new mailman (started this week) got to hand me my BFE. I am beyond excited to be joining my brothers and sisters in the Class of 2015, and hope to see more BFE's and Prep school/Falcon Foundation recipients on here soon.

:jump1: CONGRATS!!!! I was thinking that was what it meant (I know my son's LOA went away and changed back to complete, but that was much earlier in the year) but didn't want to say so in case I was wrong and it was different this late in the game! Best of luck and thanks for sharing the good news!!
