The class of 2019 started Beast with 1270 Plebes. DS tells me that after the first semester they number 1205.

5% is about par for the course at the end of the first term. These days, few plebes drop out during "Beast" barracks. It's not what it used to be. Academics seems to have held on more tightly to a standard of excellence. It's not easy.
