If you mean the paperwork after an appointment, that's on the portal and needs to be completed ASAP. If you mean the PTR, I don't think anyone has it yet.

Off topic: DS appointment has sparked a huge interest about the SA at his school & church. Friends & people I don't know are calling me to ask how DS prepared? I have a friend who drives her 9th grade son downtown to a Muslim community center to learn Arabic 2x week & another boy at church started fencing. Majority of these kids are smart but is this going overboard? Is this common for SA parents....?

I think most people would feel like the race is over, but I can't help but worry about having the offer rescinded if my grades drop. I should preface this by saying that my grades haven't dropped, nor do I intend for them to, but can I stop sweating out senior year? Does anyone know how low grades/GPA can go before there being a reaction from the academy?

I agree with NavyHoops concerning *after* accepting an Appointment.

I can tell you what is more critical for many USNA Applicants BEFORE the offer and this situation has probably surprised many after it was too late:

A friend of my DS had his 7th Semester Grades kill his package at Admissions. Yet, USNA Admissions did NOT request his 7th Semester Grades !

Unbeknownst to the friend, his High School *automatically* sends out 7th (and 8th) Semester Grades to all the Schools that each kid at the school has applied.

Most of the kids at the HS, including my son, did not know of this follow-up policy !

The friends poor 7th semester performance cost him key Application support of a USNA Team and a Foundation back-up offer. He was TWE'd last week.

Really the wrong question. The answer is you are expected to perform at the same level as the past performance that allowed you to receive an appointment. Period.

FWIW, because the SA Board has more members then ever before, I will go out on a limb with the following prediction.; we could see between 2-5 + or more Appointments announced by some of the waiting USNA Forum members and USNA Forum "lurkers" by Friday (April 22nd ) of next week.

On April 13th, 2012, the USNA Class of 2016 Appointment thread was at 87 Appointments , the last updated entry was at 87 Appointments on April 6th, 2012.

On April 13th, 2013, the USNA Class of 2017 Appointment thread was at 121 Appointments , the last updated entry was at 121 Appointments on April 4th, 2013.

On April 13th, 2014, the USNA Class of 2018 Appointment thread was at 99 Appointments , the last updated entry was at 104 Appointments on June 9th, 2014.

On April 13th, 2015, the USNA Class of 2019 Appointment thread was at 80 Appointments , the last updated entry was at 85 Appointments on May 10th, 2015.

I could be all wrong, but that is a gut feel I have.......again, FWIW

If I had to guess why the numbers are high this year on the forum, I'd say it's because murf is the go to and has figured it all out. Probably in years past they were lacking a"murf". Although it looks like someone played a similar role in 2013.
