I do not know my class rank as of the moment due to the pandemic and schools being closed but how important is class ranking for USMMA admissions? My school has this program where you pay $3500 a year to not have normal classes. In those classes they work with other companies and not do normal work. But with that you get 0.5 grade boost for each class. Around 50 people in my grade are currently enrolled in that program so almost everyone in that program has around a 4.2 GPA. As for the rest of the grade where people take normal classes, our classes are weighted on normal scales other than AP classes. My GPA is 3.8 unweighted and my guess is that, that is quite low for my grade due to this program. I do not want to sound like a baby saying "Poor me" to the admissions because of my low class rank and that its not fair, but will they take into account that my school is different in the way they offer classes?

It sounds like this is not something you can change... Best not to worry about it... try to make the other parts of your application the best that you can

My KP kids attended a high school that did not weight grades. Honors, AP, and IB classes were counted the same as all other classes. As a result, my kids who took a full IB load, but did not have a really high class rank. Admissions relies much more on the rigor of your classes and your SAT/ACT scores. For my kids, they got a significant GPA boost from the weighting process in Admissions. I would not worry about your class rank.
