The U.S. Coast Guard is starting its new recruitment campaign. It focuses less on assets and more on the people. I have to say when I first heard about it, I wasn't impressed with "Born Ready" however, now that I've seen the videos....I kind of like it. It's just about the person. A coworker and I talked to a recruiter friend during lunch, and he said "hold off until you see it".

So, here it is, below. You won't see it on TV yet, but hopefully in the near future you will.

No offense to you coasties but it was weak, still better than the "Army Strong" ads though.

I could have stood to see some assets in it, but I will take it over a Marine fighting a lava monster or transforming once he climbs a mountain anytime. Haha...I liked some of the past Army commercials, especially the mountain climbing "Army of One" commercial.

I was not expecting a serious video when I clicked on it.

I just remember I was at a weapon symposium where the Chief of Staff of the Army unvieled the "Army Strong" ads and there was audible laughter from the audiance, it just made me cringe.
