I'm from NY, and I was wondering: are the Senators selective towards whom they choose to interview? Or do they have their office call everyone who applied for the nomination?

    NOMS

In GA they are because of the number of candidates. I would suspect similar States are too. At some point it doesn't make sense to interview them all.

They each select somewhere around 50 for interviews if I remember correctly from last year when DS was going through it. DS was notified by phone call from Gillibrand's office. I think Schumer's notifications were also by phone.

DS noticed change in his Portal status to green check mark indicating a nomination from Senator Schumer. DS had pretty much given up hope at time. A few weeks later he received written notification. If I recall, it was late January when he noticed status change. Nomination Interview was early December last year.

Senator Warner's office in VA invited 67 people to interview this year out of 700 applicants.

Does a nomination lead to another board review?

My DS has been deferred in his status. Would his MOC nomination result in the board looking at him again? He had two nomination sources already, Presidential and ROTC. With a rolling board, I was told that when your application changes, they review again. Does anyone know if adding a MOC nomination would be change enough to flag for a review at the next board?
