I won a national 4 year AROTC scholarship back in December and am currently in the waiver process. My initial medical exam was disqualified by DODMERB and then submitted to the Army for waiver consideration. The Army (through DODMERB) asked for additional medical information and I submitted all the information to DODMERB as I was instructed. I talked with DODMERB and they said that they uploaded my information into my file for the waiver authorities. 5 days later I was disqualified again by DODMERB on the same grounds as before. I received a letter from DODMERB telling me that my disqualification will automatically be reviewed by the Army waiver authorities. I have not heard anything from the Army yet.
My questions are these:
1. Is it common to get disqualified twice?
2. Do I need to do anything to answer for the second disqualification since I already submitted the AMI?
Any tips, advice, or comments about my situation are welcomed! Thanks!
