I just have a few questions regarding the medical standards to join the military...i am looking into the AFROTC program and wanting to get a in-college scholarship for Nursing since im pursing my degree in BSN. But i am afraid that i might not be qualified due to some defects...one, i have an undescended testicle, i already got this checked by a doctor and they will probably refer me for sugery, so if they take out the testicle that has not descended is this an automatic DQ? second "maybe" i have an inguinal hernia, as what my MD said...is this another possible DQ? what if i get these defects fixed before getting examined by DoDMERB, will i have a better chance of getting the scholarship and getting commissioned later..i really want to serve this great country as an AF Nurse...thanks in advance for your help...
