Lets start a list of all the papers and copies we need to bring on the big day (which is less than a day away I might add.. )!

    Thanks,

Did you mean less than a month away?

Off the top of my head:

    -copy of Social Security card
-Copies of hotel receipt and mileage if driving
-Direct Deposit form, if you haven't already mailed it (PenFed took care of that for us.
-Extra copies of health, vaccinations, dental, etc. records

I know we need to hand carry a copy of our immuno record, but do we need to bring our dental form as well? I just had my dentist mail it in after he completed it so I dont have a copy.

Not form related but are we only allowed to wear black compression shorts? I use different colors and would be disappointed if I'm only allowed to wear black.

Stick w/ the black shorts during beast PT; afterwards you can ask about the other ones, but for beast you don't want to stand out.

I don't understand this about black color...I thought everything is issued.

BTW, I don't want to steal the thread, but what we need to bring on the R-day besides documents? How about other stuff I need after the Beast. When can I bring those to WP?

It seems to me that since compression shorts and things for R-Day and A-Day have been discussed many times in other threads that it might be nice to keep on topic in this one and discuss paperwork that needs to be brought to R-Day. JMHO.

BeatNavy, I looked back over the Instructions for Candidates Offered Admission and I got the impression that if they had not received your dental paperwork, you would be contacted.

Yeah I saw my dental records were received, however I didn't know if we need to bring a copy as well, similar to the Immuno record. We needed to mail that in and we are supposed to hand carry a copy as well. I don't think I saw that anywhere unless it was on the dental for itself because I took care of it months ago.

I wouldn't worry about it, BeatNavy. We did get a copy of the dental paperwork for our records (only because I left a self-addressed, stamped envelope with them) but I would think that most people do not have a copy just because of how the processing was handled (the dentist being the one who mailed everything).

One suggestion - put your documents in a folder and hand carry them, OUTSIDE your bag. It's a lot easier than trying to fumble through your bag for your SS card copy, immunization forms etc. You will need this stuff first. Waling in with your low quarters on, duffle bag, boots tied to the duffle and important papers in your hand will have you organized from the get go.

Someone told me to organize our stuff in ziploc bags. Evidently it's easier to deal with while Cadre yell at you.

Don't bring a huge bag - a 20 or 24" duffle is fine. A backpack is fine too but not one made for a 50 mile hike. If your stuff won't fit in that then you are bringing too much. I highly suggest that you do not bring rolling luggage.

What to wear - go to the website and look at photos from other years. Shorts and a T-shirt are fine. I know one year a female wore a dress - thinking of how easy it would be - it was - but she got crap for it. She got over it though.
Guys - don't wear khakis and a button down shirt. This isn't a job interview. Wear something that will be easy to change out of - you will only be wearing your clothes for a couple of hours, if that.
Wearing any clothing that says "Navy" or "Air Force" is not recommended.
It's okay to wear a T-shirt with your school, hometown, state or favorite athletic team on it. It can be a conversation starter while waiting in the endless line to check it.
