EA decisions

Same!! My DD is stressed. She has to send DODMERB all her medical history since 2018. Her pediatrician YEARS ago mentioned the word "asthma". She has never used the one inhaler prescription we filled. She swims year round competitively, practices over 3 hours a day and does CrossFit 4 days a week. She definitely does not have asthma. We actually changed doctors simply because her pediatrician didn't listen to me. After her new doctor ordered an allergy test we found out she's allergic to cats. Every house she spends time at has cats including ours!

I wouldn't freak about asthma. You will likely be denied and if USCGA wants to admit your DD they can do a methacholine test. My son had inhalers and diagnosis after 13, but tested and was fine.

All EA applicants will have some sort of decision before Christmas.
Decisions could be:
Appointment offer to USCGA (possibly conditional on medical)
Appointment offer to CGAS (possibly conditional on medical)
Denial
Deferral to Regular Admissions

Well, DS is headed to Cadet for a Day on Wednesday for the 4th session. He also received a call last night from an Academy affiliate that is coming into town next week for an in person interview. Fingers are crossed.

So we sent everything back and they took off the asthma issue. But 3 years ago she pulled a muscle in her knee and now they want more info on the knee injury. Like x-rays or scans and any PT. She didn't have any scans or PT. It even says on a different note that the knee pain is resolved. 😀

My son had a similar thing happen - there was a random note in his medical records about some foot problem when he was 7 which he never had formally diagnosed/treated/etc, not even a mention that it was resolved. That note was the first time I had ever heard of it :) . In the end he was asked to submit a written statement that there was no additional documentatin for that issue and that he had never been treated for it. He was cleared by DodMerb after that.
