For in-state tuition, among other requirements, one FL university required financial independence - the student has to earn more than 50% of the cost to attend- That's over 10k per year in a salary in this case- child makes about half that but falls short. Any accountants/ seasoned parents in the crowd with recommendations on how to close that gap? Any creative ways like establishing an S or C corp or other? I feel like there is a simple way to do this legally - I just don't know how to help them or what those paths are. ideas?
