I'm YG15 and am in the process of applying for a 2 year scholarship. The officers in my unit, unfortunately, have not been much help.
I don't want this to turn in to a 'chance me' sort of thread, so all I'll say is that I am an international studies/critical foreign language major. This, unfortunately, places me in the ridiculously competitive LREC category. My GPA and PRT scores are good - certainly worth considering, in my opinion - but not good enough for me to rest in comfort. Needless to say, I'm hopeful but not exactly optimistic.
What kind of competition should be realistically expected for a 2 year scholarship in the LREC category? Also, what kind of numbers are tentatively expected for advanced standing - or do we even know at this point? Information on advanced standing has been pretty sparse, which is a shame because I'd like to consider it a viable option.
