And I believe those are the minimums. If you qualify, there is also a selection process and each academy is more or less limited to an even exchange of cadets
After recently meeting the mids on exchange from USNA it seems that USCGA accepted 2 cadets/mids from participating academies for this fall exchange. Don't know if that will stand true for the spring exchange.
we can send up to 5 to each Academy. If you want to go to Air Force you'll probably need to be in the top 5 that apply....
So does this mean that there are only 2 CGA cadets at the other service academies? In other words, it's a one for one exchange?
And yes major does matter. You may be limited on which Academies you can go to or have to overload with an extra class because it isn't offered at the other Academies.
I know there are 4 USCGA cadets at USAFA this fall.
And as a suggestion, get as far ahead as you can in classes at USCGA if you go on exchange, since you can't always find a direct match for your required courses, you may need to take some "electives".
