Falcon Foundation Appointments

Good morning! If history holds this year, this weekend the appointments should be coming for the Falcon Foundation. Our USAFA 2021 cadet received his on this date 4 years ago and it appears to be the same timeframe over the last few years. Good luck to all!

Oops I completely misread the title. I just got offered a scholarship today, not an appointment to the academy (for class of 2026). But, a huge congrats to those who did!

You were offered a Falcon Foundation Scholarship today? Wow, they really made us wait last year, I got mine in late March. Congratulations, it's a Golden Ticket!

Mine just told me he’s going crazy. Get plans b-e in place and it’ll be fine was my response. Plan for the worst and hope for the best. A great lesson for these future leaders.

Welcome to the Golden Ticket club! Next step is to choose a prep school. Several on here have attended NWP, it is highly recommended, many Falcons attend there.

Are you willing to share which prep school?

Briefly reading over the letter, it appears that USAFA give you five choices for you to select: Georgia Military College, Marion Military Institute, New Mexico Military Institute, Northwestern Prep School, and Randolph-Macon Academy.

All 5(?) of the FFS prep schools are good, there are differences in their styles and approach. Highly recommend NWP!

Most definitely!!! We spent 20 yrs. in the Air Force and have lived by the " Hurry up and Wait" mentality. We've moved every 2-3 yrs. and lived through many deployments, spent many hours/days in lines at the base MPF/other base agencies and had numerous TDY's filled with uncertainty and our family of five survived it all. This is indeed a great lesson for their career and life in the military.
