This is unbelievable - DS just checked his portal today and it says “Nomination Status: Received Vice President Michael R. Pence!” There is no appointment yet but I assume that will come soon??

This is wonderful news! Your DS has now fulfilled all conditions. If I were a Magic Eight Ball I would say “Signs point to yes” for appointment.

This is a classic case study in:
- apply for all noms available
- the VP and Supe’s noms being carefully husbanded and doled out past the targeted notification deadline, expended on cases like this, among other situations
- it is not over until the fat lady sings AND delivers a TWE
- no news can be good news during that looong waiting period
- in general, if you are a successful sponsored prep and meet all qualifications, the SA will do its best to get you in the door with the noms it controls

Congrats to your DS. That's now 2 kids "on" this forum who got the VP nom the past couple days. Awesome!
