Thought you all might find this interesting. The JSF program has had a pretty bad past few months in the press and on the Hill. Behind schedule, and overcost. But, it IS starting to make progress. Pretty significant event / milestone for the program last week. First test of the STOVL variant's vertical landing capability (Accomplished before with the "concept" model. This is the first time the actual production / test model accomplished this) Here's the link, video is in the article: http://www.dodbuzz.com/2010/03/18/marines-laud-jsf-vertical-landing/ We will be seeing progress on this jet. Oh so slow right now, but things will start pocking up in the testing soon. And just think, some of you may be lucky enough to fly these one day! Exciting times!
