In contrast to the advice offered by Memphis, I would absolutely jump at the chance to attend Navy-Notre Dame in Ireland if I was a Mid. This is what the Academy experience is all about, bonding with company mates and classmates in situations that your high school buddies couldn't even dream of. Enjoy it to the fullest! I'm not sure about the 30-hour length, but even so, and jet lag notwithstanding, what a blast that will be! $900 would be well worth it to me, if that's the cost. When I was a Mid, 29 years ago we flew to Pasadena for Army-Navy over Thanksgiving and although didn't pay for the trip, we all would have gladly. It was unbelievable to experience the hospitality and gratitude from the citizens of a city 3000 miles away. It was all about being there with each other. I can't even imagine being there for the big game in Ireland, a wonderful country with beautiful people who appreciate Americans. Go for it and bank some amazing memories! Sorry, but TV and Google won't hold a candle...
