Google Rescue Boat Practice videos at Newport Oregon, Cape Disapointment or Winchester Bay. These guys do this on purpose?? Those 47's must be one hell of a boat. To paraphrase an old quote, Iron men in fiberglass boats.
 

May motivate some, but just makes me seasick! I was always convinced that Marines fought so hard during amphibious assaults because they didn't want to get back on the ship!! I am a ground-pounder all the way!
 
They're not all 47'. They also have 52' motor lifeboats. Can't find them on the CG's website, so maybe they're gone. They were they only craft under 65' (minimum length of a cutter) with names.
