My DS received an invitation to West Point Founders Day. He has not yet received an appointment but I am wondering if this invitation is a good thing or indifferent. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

It's just a thing. It's good to go and meet people in the club/society.

I agree with mom3boys.......go and enjoy yourselves and meet new people. The parent clubs a very cool.

BTW....check out here book its very good for parents!!

Thanks for the plug, Tug. If you are invited to the Georgia Founder's Day, I donated a copy for the silent auction.

Recently I attended with my DD and enjoyed it very much. The alumni were very welcoming and shared stories. We were also able to meet parents of current cadets and exchange contact information. Our guest speaker, Lt. Gen. Robert L. Caslen, J, gave a very informational presentation of progress and updates at USMA. I wish I would have thought to get a picture of Lt. Gen. Robert L. Caslen, J and my daughter together, but it was wonderful to talk with him and for DD to receive encouraging words from him. An evening which offered re-assurance that DD will be in a great place beginning June 27th.

Thanks for the information.
Roxane, did your DD receive an appointment before or after attesting the event?

DD received her appointment in January and the Founders Day dinner was two weeks later.
