Grad Gift for incoming Plebe

Hi,
I have a friend who will be entering the academy this July and was trying to find an appropriate, but useful gift for him. I was thinking about getting him a leather toiletry case/shave kit. Would that work? Is it better to get one that hangs up or one that sits on the counter.

If this is not a good gift, I'd appreciate any suggestions of things that would be helpful to him. Thanks!

That's a good gift. Not sure about leather. We bought our son one and it was a poly type material that was very heavy. The mids would have to answer about hanging or table top one, but I've never heard any complaint from our son about the table top one
