I am a former Army officer (Norwich graduate) and a parent of a son applying to the SAs and ROTC. This has been an incredible experience, and we've made mistakes along the way before learning about this online forum (like, not applying for a Senator nom in time before the deadline, but thankfully receiving a nom from our local congressman). I think this website does an incredible service for all aspiring military officers. I am proud to be a part of this. Greetings, everyone!

Welcome, good luck. Your family is embarking on a incredible journey. Enjoy it if he is looking at ROTC. Have your son look at Penn State. They have great program with a great school to match. My DS is junior physics/astrophysics major. He hit a rough patch last semester. He is not ROTC. If I can be any help to a fellow Pennsylvanian let me know.

RGK, thank you for the kind response! My son has been admitted to Penn State and loves that school. He is pushing for SAs, too. He wants to pursue ROTC as well, depending on what develops in the coming months. This application process is stressful, and so much is left open to chance, it seems.
