I have most everthing done for my application except getting my forms getting verified by my counselor and having her send in my transcripts. There is more of a problem-my counselor is sort of notorious for being a nuisance and especially in the summer, she is impossble to communicate with. What should I do?

Is your school out already? If not, well, do whatever you can to get her to fill the info in (don't be a nuisance, though!).

If your school is out already, and you honestly think she will look in your form and say you haven't done what you claim, you could try to contact her through e-mail OR simply wait until after Summer.

BTW, I believe you can send in your transcripts (if it is an Official transcript) by mail or e-mail (you probably got a thin package with 7ish envelopes to send in files, right?)

Don't sweat over it, though. I mean, class rank would be great to have in, but if you can't, I don't think that will be that much of an issue.

I mean, it is better to way and get it set up correctly than try to rush it in and have some attrition on the way.

    Good luck!

When my son needed his form signed by his guidance counselor he scheduled an appointment to meet with the guidance counselor, they reviewed everything and the form was signed. Have you tried scheduling an appointment?

Also, find out who is responsible for mailing transcripts as it isn't always the guidance counselor. For instance ... our high school has a college center and there is one person in the department in charge of transcripts.

I know it's nearing, if not already, the end of the school year however some of the administrators may still be available. In our district there is office personnel at the schools throughout the summer.

My DD also had problems with her guidance counselor. She set an appointment up with the Director of Guidance and spoke with him about how important timelines were and how important the process was to her. He took her under his wing and was more there thrilled to help her with the entire process. Find someone in the office who is passionate about their job and the military. When her acceptance came he was as thrilled as the whole family.

School has been out for a while now and the last day for administrators was June 18th. Now that she is no longer required to work it is as if she dropped off the face of the earth and there is no way to contact her. And since all the administrators are already gone, I'm not sure if I'll be able to find anyone willing or qualified to help me out with this

Utilize all resources available to reach someone in the administration. At some point they will have to be in the office to prepare for the upcoming school year. If you can find email addresses for any of the guidance counselors, ask them for some direction.

When do these forms have to be in by?

They don't actually have to be in until March 1st I believe but I was hoping to get them in by the end of June. I went into my school today asking if there was any way I could contact a counselor. I was told no and that I would have to wait until July 18th, when the administrators come back to prepare for the next school year

July 18 will not kill your chances for a LOA and certainly not an appointment
