This is just my opinion.

There are a myriad of folks on the SAF, a principal foundation of the website...folks trying to obtain/give information on all aspects of Service Academies and ROTC programs. There are a few SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) that represent a variety of components of applying to or being part of those institutions. And, like any other website, there are those bombastic and pedantic folks that have their own agenda.

This is a very valuable website for those seeking answers, pathways, and opinions. Members have a virtual smorgasborg of all of those and a vast variety of other inputs. It's extremely valuable to have Cadets/Mids that are "IN" one of those programs or recently graduated. There are folks that are involved in all elements of those programs. It allows members to benefit from their knowledge.

While I work the medical side of applications for all of the Academies and ROTC programs, GWU PNS is a 35 year Active Duty Captain ( and a Mustang to boot!) with an amazing amount of knowledge and experience on the administrative side of all aspects of NROTC and the Navy in general. His signature block is provided as an artifact of that position, authority, and responsibility and is in no way meant to recruit anybody to do anything. He is the ultimate SME and a priceless asset for those folks wanting to know anything regarding NROTC and the Navy in general. So, if NROTC and the Navy is something members are interested in, he really is ...The Professor. I wholeheartedly endorse the service that he is providing.

I can, without a doubt, confirm that he is an amazing and generously helpful member of the forum and service. He has assisted my son and I firsthand in understanding how to navigate the NROTC process.

Bravo Zulu, CAPT.
