    Athletics can be better, especially team sports. You don't nemtion leadership positions or SAT scores. Plan on taking the SAT a few times. Check the physical testing requirements and get ready for those. Take the ACT. Have plans B, C, and D ready to go.

    I might add that the ASVAB score won't be looked at, even if you are serving.

    asvab score wont help you since you are not enlisting; that score is only used for career picking in the military enlistment

    If you could use some great help join a sport, dont wait till you get into the academy to join some sport, join now!

    No sport is too late to go on your application. You can even put sports that you are planning on taking in the future on your application. If you choose not to participate in that sport at a later time, or you choose to take up another sport, you can write a letter to the academy and have them update your profile. :thumb:

    Two weak areas;
    1. Leadership. I saw no leadership positions. Try to get Captain of a team, student officer position, or President of a Club
    2. Sports. Try to make it on a combative team sport such as wrestling or football
    Academics seem to be OK if you have high SAT scores.

    This is meant to be constructive, not negative, but your post has quite a few spelling errors, both in the title and in the body of the post. If this is just because you were taking a very informal/casual approach because you are posting in an internet forum, that's fine, but do make sure to carefully proof-read any formal writing elements (essay; letter to Congressperson requesting nomination; etc.) of your application.

    Leadership doesn't just have to be something like being captain of "x" team or president of "y" club. These are definitly awesome things to have, but you can also get involved in projects in your community that you initiate and run that help to showcase your leadership. For instance, through high school, before I became an officer in NHS, I was already organizing certain drives within my school that I was able to talk about in my applications

    Casey,
    Valid point. However, the Army is a combative, physical life. Being a leader in a "combative" sport is highly valued by Admissions. However, I understand that not every good leader has that type of background.
