Can anyone tell me if a nomination from a High School Marine Corps ROTC Unit is treated the same as a nomination from any other source. My son will be a senior next year and has secured a ROTC Unit nomination, but I haven't been able to determine how these are viewed in the Naval Academy admissions process as compared to other nominations.

All nominations are the same, they are the legal authoritah to offer you an appointment. The difference is the number of appointments that can be charged to each nominating source, which for ROTC/JROTC is very small only 20 appointments per year.
