We have allegiance to the Army and Air Force. Son in AROTC, SIL AFA Graduate, and AFA Sponsor family. But wow, what an exciting win for the Army football program yesterday. Congratulations! I'm sure Air Force will be right back in it next weekend, but for now the Army can relish it for a while.

Yes, I’ve heard that West Point, being in a rural area, does have rather black nights. Or if you insist, “Black Nights.” 😂

By the way, great game yesterday from the Black Knights of the Hudson. The CIC Trophy is in play!

My understanding is that “The Long Gray Line” refers to the seemingly endless stretch of dreary winter days. (OK, that’s it for my teasing. I’m not a grad of any SA — just a parent — so I know my limits. 😉)

Oops! My editing skills are not as good as they should be 😂 and I really wish you could edit past five minutes on this forum! Haha! 🤷🏼‍♀️

"The long gray line has never failed us. Were you to do so, a million ghosts in olive drab, in brown khaki, in blue and grey, would rise from their white crosses, thundering those magic words: Duty, Honor, Country." General Douglas MacArthur. I have been there on some very beautiful days during spring summer and fall but winter can be rough.

Long, dreary winters

Solution: bacon!

The only place I liked better than the Mid Store was walking around the Thayer Hotel and the Gift Shop. Impressive and historic.. I always hated that long walk up that damn hill to the stadium. Go Navy
