Google "DoDMERB;" Hit "Question on the process" - top left hand side of the homepage; Read paragraphs 11 -21. "Overachievers" will read the entire document.
As of 12 Feb 2022, 1:51 PM MST, DoDMERB has 29 Folks= 4 Docs; 12 Military and 9 Civ Case Managers; and 4 Admin Civilians = 29 folks
We process approx 35,000 applicants (individuals) for approx 50,000 applications (individual applying to multiple Academies/ROTC programs).
On any given day, thousands folks may be in the following statuses: Awaiting receipt of Initial Medical; AMI Awaiting receipt of AMI; Under DoDMERB Review; Awaiting Waiver Review; Meets Medical Standards (Qualified); Does Not Meet Medical Standards (DQ); Waiver Granted or Denied; etc.
We operate on a FIRST IN, FIRST OUT basis. The first documents received are the first documents processed.
Some cases (applicant - individuals) are very easy to arrive at determinations; others are moderately easy; and some are very complex; which is why I say, each case is independently reviewed.
FOR GENERAL INFORMATION: More often than not, applicant procrastination causes some delays --- then answering applicant inquiries that procrastinated, sending simultaneous emails asking when their AMI will be processed, takes time away from our superb staff in processing the requests.
Synchronicity between applicants, Civ Team, DoDMERB staff, and Academies & ROTC = a well tuned orchestra
