Yesterday was the deadline (extended) for the EA application and I understand that the latest that someone who applied in EA will "Know" is January 15. When is the earliest that we might know if we are offered an appointment or should get serious about plan B? I read here recently that there was a "group one" and the letters might go out soon? How many groups are there in EA and will we know what group we are in...and does the group we are in mean anything? It is so hard to just wait after preparing for this for so long....and I can't be the only one wondering (and agonizing) about this!

Files are placed into rounds in order of completion and Admissions Committee for Round One concluded on Friday, so notification letters were mailed yesterday. This process will essentially repeat itself every two weeks until mid-January when the final round of EA notification letters will be sent to arrive no later than January 20th. You could ask your Admissions Officer which round you've been assigned to, but it would really just give you an idea of when your notification letter will be sent.
