Interesting article my coworker sent be about some Dem. proposed budget cuts. I have to admit, I agree with them. Two may be of interest to forum members.
Cuts Army sponsorship of NASCAR car. They spend $7 million a year, which I admit is a drop in the bucket at DOD. Coast Guard dropped sponsorship of Kevin Harvick in 2005 or 2006.
Cuts spending on military bands...which cost $339 million a year, a disturbing number for those considering operational needs in services.
Cut em, I'm ok with that. Bands aren't going away, but slashing their budgets isn't the worst idea.
