How to Edit Existing Posts?

I feel like sometimes I am able to edit posts and sometimes I am not. Is there a way to edit posts you have created? If so, where should I be seeing the edit button, and why am I not seeing it?

There is a certain short window to edit posts. Once the time limit (30 min?) has been reached, you can’t.

You can edit what you post for only a short period time after posting. Then you can no longer edit. I believe it works that way since in the past certain individuals would post something argumentative and then change the context of their post after the discussion was ongoing.

Thanks! That certainly explains why I KNEW I had edited posts in the past but couldn't figure why or when I could or couldn't.
