Illinois Class of 2016 Breakfast

Anyone else going to the class of 2016 breakfast for Illinois appointees with Captain Lovell and hosted by Sen. Kirk's office ?

We're attending a reception for 2016 appointees tonight in my home district, MA 2nd. But I might blow it off and fly to yours if I can meet Jim Lovell. What a legend.

We're pretty lucky here in the Chicago area as Captain Lovell resides in the North Shore near his kids and their families and is pretty active with the Naval Academy community. My old college roommate used to work at his steak house in Lake Forest. He's a great guy. My DS is pretty excited to meet him. It should be a good time and I think will help get the plebes-to-be pumped up for their arduous summer.

Hell, I'd ask him to autograph my copies of "Apollo 13" and "The Right Stuff", then ask him a good 30-40 space related questions.

What?! There is a separate breakfast in Chicago with Captain Lovell?! I'm going to Senator Kirk's breakfast in Springfield but our guest is another congressman. Still cool, but I'm now I'm jealous.
