So, im applying for the AROTC scholarship and my physical fitness test is
1 min Push ups
1 min Situps
1 mile run

I was wondering, if I have around 54 push ups, 70 situps, and a 7:30 mile run, is that terrible? Will that significantly lower my chances of receiving a scholarship? Also, how much does the Physical test affect my chances. Thanks!

There is a difference between APFT and the physical fitness test for the scholarship. APFT is what you take when you get into the army or rotc.

Scholarship is as you stated. APFT is 2 minutes, 2 minutes and 2 miles. This will be judged by someone looking at your form.

Of your scores for the scholarship, I think you look fine except your run time. Try to get it down to about 6-6:30. personal opinion.

Ok thank you for your quick reply! I will definitely try to improve but I am taking the test this friday so it might be by a few seconds... I'm sure adrenaline will also improve my time just a bit. :p Thanks again!

If the test is not due till later, why not wait and work out more?

Well thats the thing, when it says on the arotc online application that once an email is sent to the person who is administering the test for me, I have 30 days to complete it and turn it in. Idk, maybe thats just a suggestion, but its been a little less than 30 days i think and if i get disqualified for submitting it late or something, that would be sad lol

Plus, you need to have those results in for your application to be complete. For the running, try sprinting parts of it - maybe the straight sides of the track, or if that is too far to sprint, just the "last leg" - pretend you are being chased by a bear or something!
