Nearly a nearly ago, during my fall cross country season of sophomore year, my knee just started hurting. I was immediately told to rest and I was out the whole season. I never ran until a month or so before track season and when I started running, my knee hurt again. I immediately sought medical attention and I was informed to go to PT. I went to PT for about 4 weeks, and my knee felt a little healed. I continued to do what the PT recommended and I started to run again. Now, a week before a 10k that i'm doing, my knee is starting to hurt again.

I do not want to be injured for my XC season, I would be varsity and possibly even team captain. I feel like this will ruin my chances of getting into a military academy. Hopefully, I can get in soon to see my sports doctor. But I am really worried.

Have any of you guys been injured? How did you cope w/ that injury? Did you miss a whole season of sports?

It depends on what it is. If it is something relatively minor, I shouldn't be an issue. If you need surgery, it might be an issue. If it cannot heal completely, that would be an issue.

The doctor says it is knee tendinitis, it has been going on and off for nearly a year now.
