Inoculations Question

Hepatitis A requires two shots six months apart per websites and pediatrician. How do cadets that leave in May accomplish this if leaving for CULP? Take one now and one just before leaving Fort Knox? Is this typical or does cadet command have a DOdmerb solution?

Feel free to PM if necessary as I'm confused.

My DS got his second less than six mos. later. Your physician or clinic should be able to answer. Also check CDC website for other recommendations for specific regions/countries.

We have the Steri-pen. I wouldn't go anywhere that requires a Hep A inoculation without one. Expensive but worth it.

As long as DS is getting vaccines, you may to look at yellow fever. Ours had to get hep a but we went ahead and got yellow fever as well. Make sure Tetanus is up to date.

He got them all at university health clinic.
