Inter-nomination competition..?

So this may be a very silly question, but if your MOC has a competitive slate where they nominate 10 individuals, are you directly competing with the other nominees for an appointment? Or conversely, is it possible for more than one on a competitive slate to get accepted/appointed? Hopefully I am explaining it clearly. Thanks in advance for any info/insight.

You compete with the other 10 (unless one or more has an LOA). If you aren't slated to that MOC, you go into the national pool and compete against others in that pool based on merit.

So, yes, more than one person on a competitive slate can receive an appointment.

For some reason, learning this makes me a lot more nervous that I wont obtain an appointment in the end
