Interviews for all 3 MOC

Not sure how many applicants get interviewed. I would guess that the panels have limited capacity, and have a max number they could handle. Applicants in excess of that number might not get an interview.

In my son's state (FL) he had interviews with all 3 MOCs, all last week. We saw several of the same kids at these dates, but also talked to a few that definitely did not get all 3 interviews.

BTW, he already got an email from our Congressman's office that he got that nomination.

Congrats! Who is your Congressman?

My son had the same interviews with the Senators but our Congressman was the week prior.

Since the Senators told us that you received a letter either way to let you know that you had the interview or didn't, do you think that they send letters letting everyone know that they didn't receive the nomination?

Any idea when LeMeuix or Nelson are making their nominations?

My interview letter from Senator Nelson stated "all applicants will receive written notification upon completion of the selection process in late December" and an email I received from Senator LeMieux's office said "notification will be provided in December to all candidates that meet with the Selection Board regarding whether a nomination has been issued". It seems like forever...

Yes, I do see that the letters show that. I had put them away and pulled them back out today.
And you're right, it does seem like forever...

Good luck!

I have my three interviews next Saturday within a 45min time span (one at 11:30, one at 11:45, and one at 12:00!), fortunately all in the same location.

I was anxious because I wasn't sure whether I'd get interviewed for each MOC as one of my MOCs wasn't really that clear about whether my application was 100% complete (even though I was mostly sure it was) and for the week before the deadline I was calling them everyday to doublecheck.

Anybody know how competitive Las Vegas (or just Nevada in general) is? I'm not sure whether they interview everybody or not.

Good luck nsiderbam! Well, about Las Vegas, I bet competitive, but nothing like say Los Angeles or something.

Bulldog, how'd your interviews go today at Congressman Mica's place? Where you by any chance the kid in the Naval ROTC uniform?

My son received his letter today and was fortunate enough to have received one of the Congressional Nominations!

All he has left is to submit his physical scores now and his application is complete.

Florida MOCS

cjs- congratulations! I wish our noms would be notified so soon!

USMAalltheway- Mica's interview was the most interesting of them all, and no I was not wearing a ROTC uniform. They asked about the Nuremberg trials and some other tough military based questions. I think I did ok. How about you?

Ok. Just wondering. Yah, my interviews went alright I guess. The interview went in my opinion, wayyyy better than the interview for USMA. Blacked on the question, "how would you define leadership"? Other than that, I could answer evey other question I think pretty well. Nuremburg, lol. Whatd they ask you about it?

Sweet cjs, congrats to your son. I have the same thing left, I took the CFA, but did poorly on the bball throw, so taking it after break.
