Big package left at the door today!! USMA appointment came in a very nice diploma like portfolio with a great letter. LOA in August, nomination letter a week ago from Senator Mikulski, and appointment a week later. Kind of took the whole family by surprise with the speed of it all. I know there are a lot of folks waiting so please forgive my excitement. Best of luck to everyone going through the process!

Congrats!!! :tank: :tank1:
You are lucky to have your Senator release his decisions so early! Waiting is not fun...

No need for apologies; everyone on this forum, understands (or should understand) the excitement. Congratulations!

Congratulations! Now you can relax for the rest of the year!

Potential Parent,

You have every right to be excited. Congratulations to your whole family and your Cadet Candidate!

The problem now

Is how to work it into every conversation you have! You have every right to be bursting with pride-you raised a wonderful child.

He is a good kid Pedro. Thanks for the message. Truth be told....I do find myself putting it in to most conversations. Not exactly my style, but I am very proud of the path he is on.

I just noticed where you are from-there must have been some interesting discussions about this choice of schools!

Pedro, we love the Naval Academy. Kids have spent a lot of time at their lacrosse, soccer, and basketball camps, as well as going to a lot of athletic events to support the teams. Son did not apply for a few reasons, they do not offer Civil Engineering, maybe a little to close to home, and a few other mission related reasons, that he kind of keeps to himself. I am in awe of those young men and women every time I am at the Naval Academy, or around town. Truly, the kids that attend the academies are top shelf!
